I don't think JJ getting fit will be the answer to a revival, as we all know he'll only play a handful of games before getting crocked again......we need cover! Madine and Morrison just doesn't work! We defo need another proven goalscorer and a winger (or two) with pace. Palmer doesn't seem to be ready for anything other than the bench as yet.
We need to see more of this Lines before making any kind of judgement on him, but reports do sound promising. Coming for a very low fee from a team doomed for relegation didn't strike a chord with many of us, but Prutton was in a similar category and neither had the players around them to shine in their previous teams. Hopefully they'll both turn out to be a pair of shining lights on what has been a pretty average start to our campaign so far.
I think O'Grady will prove to be a very good addition to the team once he shakes off that bruised foot, and I compliment Meggo for resisting temptation and not throwing him in at the deep end till he's fully fit. I think we do have most of the parts in place and think the defence, regardless of the daft errors of Saturday, will be up to any future challenge (we all have a bad day once in a while). Luckily, we do seem to have strength in depth in this department.
We defo need to string a few good results together to build confidence, maintain, or even improve, our attendances and strike a bit of fear into the hearts of our rivals (we're as much a threat as Mary Poppins coming to town wielding her brolly! Richie Barker has already commented on our diminished status prior to tomorrow's match!!). Goals is the name of the game, so hopefully those 2 or 3 missing players will be brought in a.s.a.p., even if it does take a few extra quid to do so! That money would quickly be recouperated should we manage to get ourselves well up the table and produce entertaining football into the bargain!
Finally, blunts remaining above us and commanding an automatic spot is no longer an option. Like many, I believed this season would show a sway of power towards the blue and white side of the city. Supposedly we have the money and management to achieve this, so where are the results? Admittedly, it's still early days, but weren't we supposed to hit the ground running in this new campaign with our super-fit bunch of athletic warriors? Come on Meggo, get your finger out and bring us the right tools for the job!
On a side note. I do feel very sorry for JOC. His heart's in the right place...... even if HE isn't. UTO!!
Missing pieces of the jig-saw!

DickVanDyke was probably a better entertainer than Julie Andrew's. She was better in the sound of music.
VanDyke's crowning moment is surely in Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang? I would have preferred he delivered the role in a South Yorkshire brogue but nevertheless deliver it he did.

Know what you mean re ghostbusters but for me its one of those films you never get tired of seeing, my fave line is
RAY: Everything was fine with our system until the power grid was shut off by dic kless here.
PECK: They caused an explosion!
MAYOR: Is this true?
PETER: Yes, it's true. This man has no di ck.
thats Bill Murray at his best, theres so many good lines in that film but thats my fave!!

There's a football match in 'Bedknobs and Broomsticks'....
Was that scene inspired by one of our performances? Or is JOC inspired by how the animals in that scene play play
