If no one comes in today, It'll be Ade, Soldado and Kane as back up. Expect Chadli or lamela to play off any of these as back up. Could even see Obika in the fold come March once his loan at Brighton ends and Defoe hops it

Depressing

Don't forget we've played Ade on his own up front the last two games, with Eriksen behind him. I suspect Sherwood sees it that if he wants two up front he can play Ade and Soldado, with Kane as back up, and otherwise he can use Eriksen, Lamela or Chadli as the number 10. I'd like another striker but realistically whoever it is would be in the same position as Defoe, sitting on the bench and hardly used, so it's difficult to attract someone on that basis. Wouldn't surprise me if that was the problem for Berbatov, why would he come just to never play?

I just hope we recall Benny. We can then loan out Fryers.
