Just took a look at our squad list and realised that, despite DM being the position we supposedly desperately need to strengthen, we are also scarily light in the wide areas. I didn't realise how bad it was.
Not going to go overboard with Konoplyanka, because I can't pretend to know that much about him.
We only have Sterling, Moses and Ibe as out and out wide players for the rest of the season, which we've done fine with so far and the inter-changing front 3/4 means we don't really play with 2 wide men on the pitch at the same time, but the thought of an injury to Sterling or him suffering a drop in form is worrying.
Even Tom Ince on loan would have been better than nothing...

Even though we missed out on our targets I still think we have the team to make top 4.
We still have important players to come back in Agger, Sakho, Johnson, Enrique, Lucas, Allen etc plus I hope to see more from our new summer signings in Aspas, Moses and Alberto. We also have Kelly, Flanno and Ibe to call on to play a part.
We host all the big boys at Anfield the back part of the season plus we have one of the best attacking forwards in the EPL with SAS, Courtinho and Sterling. I still hold hope!
