We waited years to sign a striker and we end up with this donkey. For me he is the most disappointing player we have ever signed. What does he offer the team. Nothing, i just hope spurs try toget rid and recoup some of that money in the summer.

Doesn't necessarily make it easier though Chris, it might just be that it suits their game more.

Soldado is a bigger donkey than Carroll.

The very best strikers don't dwell on it though GT...they forget the miss immediately and wait for the next chance. Same with games, a drought makes them stronger...others let it affect their game too much.

Yeah, good point.
The thing with Soldado is that when I watch him, he doesn't strike me as a player that needs a confidence boost. Like someone above said, he tucks his pens away brilliantly, and in general looks pretty confident.
I think it's more a case of him needing to adapt to having a lot less time inside the area than he has perhaps been used to.

Probably right there, though he took a shot in the first half that looked like he really snatched at it. The Soldado of old was a lot more composed than that. Funny thing is, his link up play is usually very good, its just when he gets a chance he's struggling

In my view you both are wrong. Striker lives from confidence. If you don't have it you come into a path were you can make want you want it all goes wrong.
If you would send Soldado back to his former club he probabla would score again and look like a world beater.
Anyway everyone is entitle to his opinion.

I thought he'd actually looked really good the
As few games, except for m front of goal.
Just looked awful today.

GT..in most cases you are correct, but you're overgeneralising. Different players react differently, that's human nature.

He works hard for the team, all over the pitch.
I think he will come good.
In final analysis its up to our midfield to get him in a position to score.
He can obviously put the ball in the net from PKs. So why not in free play? makes no sense.

Soldado isn't playing great but Tottenham should stick with him as he is a proven goalscorer and many players coming to the league take a season to settle in.
Benteke turned down Spurs to sign a new contract but was overpriced anyway
