We cannot be sure of the accuracy, but it must be close, makes frightening reading from an FD's point of view. Just imagine the overall impact!!
Couple that with a board who are very poor at generating other revenue streams, it does not look good.

Liquidate the assets, demolish the Reebok, sell the land to developers and form a new club in the North West Counties League or somewhere like that playing at a pitch that's actually IN Bolton.
BWFC is dead in all but name. Eddie killed it by leaving PG to mismanage it and drive it into it's grave. It's just not realised it's a corpse but that will come very soon I'm sure.

A zombie is what we have.
The shell, the veneer of a football club is there in outward appearance but the heart and soul have melted away.

Clegg for the first time since I began to follow the trotters in 1976 I'm not sure it is. I don't really feel that the board is capable of sorting out this mess and the owner doesn't seem to care about it either.

Need some perspective mate - we are still suffering as a result of Owen Coyles naff signings thats all.
Time will tell, but i wouldnt be too unhappy if we went down. I enjoy going to Forest Green (my dad lives down there) than watching overpaid idiots. But demolish the reebok? Form a new club? Thats crazy

Clegg, I understand where you're coming from mate and this may well be a temporary down on my part. BUT the truth is we pay a LOT of money out to go and watch this carp. It's not fair to lay all the blame at Coyle's feet either. I don't want another argument with you about Megson today, I can't really be bothered doing that any more either. That's how apathetic I feel, we fork out wads of money for this year on year and get nothing in return now. The spirit that marked the awful days of the eighties is gone and without it we're a mediocre football club in massive debt that might as well not be there.
Start again, clear the slate totally. Form a club that the local people can get behind with players who we know care and want to play. As a boy I went to watch Accrington Stanley play in the Lancashire Combination when the trotters were away. A hundred people showed up to watch for a BIG game but the atmosphere rocked and after the match we'd all gather in the clubhouse WITH the players from both sides, have a laugh and a few drinks and it still happened that way when they got to the Conference.
The spirit of our game no longer lives in the football league at all; it's still there at Evo-Stik and Conference level though. Maybe the fans would actually enjoy it more if we were a local club with local players who we knew by name and who knew us.
