Does anyone remember Danny Rose's first match? Absolutely wonderful! To come into the spurs team and come up with a goal of such importance was immense!
I'm really happy that we are starting to develop some of our own talent and bringing players through. Walker, Bentaleb (although the way he has knocked Capoue our of the team infuriates me), Townsend, Rose and Livermore are all decent players and we've played a part in giving them their chance.
I want to talk about Rose in this article and his attributes. He's fast, technically solid on the ball, surprisingly good in the air, incredibly strong and aggressive. I'd say that he has all of the makings of a good left back. Right now, he's struggling to find his way in our team. It is not that he is particularly bad but he in not really bringing anything BAE would not have brought if he was not out on loan.
Tottenham fans (most of us) are a bit of a joke when it comes down to being patient and allowing players or managers (see AVB abuse from supporters) to develop and the vultures have already begun to circle around Danny Rose.
It's a shame because it is probably an experience thing for young Danny. If he were to get his head straight and find his path in this team then he could be an all time great considering his attributes and fairy tale story. The questions are:
Does he deserve the time?
Will the fans give him the time?

Never gonna be up to the standard that we're after. Another Chris Gunter type.
I reckon he'll be off in a couple of years...if Spurs get their act together.

I feel sorry for him he was converted from an attacking left winger into a left back so late in his career. Rose only played there because there was nobody else in the youth team and then some bright spark suggested he make that position his own.
To be fair Rose is improving and could become a good left back at some point just needs serious work on his positioning and footballing brain.

He was utter cack in that game till he was subbed. Scored with a freak, clean first touch he may never replicate if he tried it 10 times.

Some players you can tell if they've got something up stairs, I'm afraid you can't with Rose.

You say he scored a freak goal against Arsenal, but you dont seem to remember the screamer he scored at the start of this seasons Europa campaign. Was that a freak miss hit shot aswell.

To be honest he really is pretty crap.
He was crap before he went to Sunderland and he has come back every bit as crap.
Nowhere near good enough for a team that has aspirations of a top 4 spot on a regular basis.
I know its harsh but its also true.

For me Rose has been unfairly criticised.
The guy has the entire left side to look after by himself so is their any wonder why he is charging around!
Every player who plays infront of him cuts inside and doesn't track back!
Eriksen is a CM as is Sig and Chadli just cuts inside.
The guy needs support more than anything else.
Just look back at the partnership between BAE and Bale and now ask yourself in all honesty if anyone else on the LM ever puts in 100% in defencive duties?

Grandspur as usual being his normal pompus self and criticising players, when other posters criticise, he comes out with you don`t know what your talking about. See saw Grandspurs to go with See saw Chicken, the pair of them think they are the biggest knowalls on the boards.
