Arsenal fan in peace...
Hello, I was thinking about Moyes and the relationship he has with the players, now although most of the stuff that comes out the rag tops is tripe, I do sense that perhaps the players do not respect him. Two examples that come to mind are:
1) Rooney being special dispensation about transfer activity
2) RVP deciding when he is fit to play.
I mean what is all that, especially the Rooney situation, a complete joke, Fergie would have told them both to fack off big time, but Moyes is singing to their tune.
Contrast that to Wenger - RVP situation when RVP stated that he wanted input on who the no 2 would be at Arsenal following Pat Rice, and that he wasnt convinced about Steve Bould, Wenger told him to fack off and sold him.
I just think the players are taking the pi$$ especially Rooney, you guys should just sell the bald shrek abroad asap, especially as you have Mata now, anyway interested to hear your thoughts...

You make a good point and it's very worrying. Rio's comments earlier in the season about timing of announcing the team. I wouldn't say he has lost the dressing room but the players are not putting it in, concentration levels are not good enough, energy levels too. No late goals scored.
Something is definitely amiss.
I am an advocate for Moyes to be given this season and at least beginning of next but a few more defeats and I will be close to shifting my stance. I mean we have lost to Wba,Stoke,Newcastle,Everton... knocked out of the cups by Swansea and Sunderland.
It isn't good enough for sure.

I think the thing is that Moyes hasn't got the respect from the players. Of course most of these players having had Fergie for a long part in their careers may not have warmed to him, but surely a top manager with a reputation or even someone like Roberto Martinez would have by now gained respect. Moyes doesn't have a philosophy of any sort that all good managers should have.
I think Rooney is comfortable with Moyes from their Everton days but other big names I think they are split 50-50.
You look at Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool, they started pretty crap under him but he had a vision for how he wants his team to play, and now it's paying off. Whether in a couple of seasons down the line it'll work for Moyes, remains to be seen.

I am not yet convinced by Rodgers. He has a great strike force and Coutinho was a snip but not convinced by all his other buys and his tactics sometimes. Time will tell with him. If they make top 4 and invest big they may well be a force again.

Well fergie didn't tell Rooney to Fack of.
He gave him a pay rise when he put his first transfer request in

Even with our strike force missing we still played good football.
You see what Brendan wants and which kind of players he wants.
He want technical players with pace who can dominate.
The style of Moyes is get the ball to the wing and cross it.

Same as Fergie's style then..get the ball wide and cross,
only Fergie went from having great wingers to having
