Myth?

The Arsenal v Chelsea game was probably a product of the fact that both manager knew what the other was going to do.
Therefore Arsenal didn't throw as many players forward with abandon as usual which meant they created few chances but were able to deal with Chelsea's counters a little more effectively.

It's just another stick to try to beat us with for the haters.

The only time we ever parked the bus was against Barca and Bayern in the Champions League.

Even then we scored goals in open play in both games.

I don't like to single out players but the difference between United, Arsenal, or even City at home was a couple of things.

We are now a striker short of being serious challenge, we have cover on loan and in the wings that I see coming in in the summer that will strengthen the squad or at least give cover in depth. The Striker we will have to buy.

I wouldn't say you parked the bus against us, it was more that you took a negative approach which suprised me as we were there for the taking which seems to be the story of our season, had that game been a month later then i'm sure your approach would of been much different

So it seems not just Chelsea fans disagree with the "parked the bus" thing.

It's one thing being cautious which we were. But to suggest that we parked the bus at Utd and arsenal seem wide of the mark.

I think Shurlle being played as a CF, sucked people into that misconception because they couldn't comprehend that he's actually played that position before and that we weren't actually playing without a striker!

On the subject of parking the bus, Chelsea were given a lot of stick about parking the bus when you won the Champions League, for me the tactics you employed were spot on to beat the likes of Barca and Bayen you have to sit deep and counter them and you must stay disciplined especially when its not your normal style of game, ok its not pretty but who cares if it brings you success
