Trust update might be fair enough, but the view of the plank that has commented below is pretty worrying. Last paragraph is particularly alarming.
'There is only one outcome that could be seen as anything but positive and that is for a british based consortium including Andrew Flowers and Mike Farnan to take over. Some question their financial backing which is fair enough. But, even if they took over and were revealed to have little by way of finance, we'd be no worse off than we are now - only at least we'd have people who understood and cared about the club.'
I really don't understand this view. As if we're happy being penniless as long as we have nice and polite owners. We need sharper teeth if we are ever going to get anywhere.

Im presuming because Caglari are a town on a little island with not that many fans and a 16,000 stadium.
Competing with Roma, Lazio, AC Milan, Napoli, Inter, Udinese, Juventus to name a few must be pretty tough no?
Id rather live in Leeds,Birmingham, London, Manchester etc if i was a player not the isle of man.
Just my opinion though.

He does want to progress them. He wants to build a new stadium but local government won't allow him to hence his decision to have them playing home games in Trieste on the mainland. It was done to try and force their hand.
Maybe he just sees the potential in Leeds and has the money to develop it. The problem is his methods are obviously going to be radically different which many won't agree with.

Also think maybe they have reached their full potential?
Georgraphically you are also comparing:
Caglari: 85km squared place with 149k inhabitants.
Leeds: 3574km squared with at least 750k inhabitants.
Most footballers and their wives like cities, not fishing docks.
How much further can you take that place realistically? you cant start extending the island and cloning passionate caglari fans.

To take it to the most basic level possible Caglari aint in there top 20 cities for population etc.
So for them to be in the top tier over there is surely over achiving? nobody will ever make Preston challenge with Man u , city, liverpool etc will they, no matter how much money they throw at it. There is a potential threshold and glass ceiling, which maybe he thinks he has hit, he might be able to go spend 10 million on a player but one of those big teams will just come and offer silly money then to take him from there. round and round you go, never getting champions league or europe ....he did get them to a uefa cup semi final though!

He took 7 mill out of his back pocket to buy a player for Caglari and tried to send him on loan to us but was too late.yea he has buckets of money but the changes he would bring would be really painful so not sure it is worth that.

So all these Mr niceguys that love our club and wanting to buy it,should have got their act together if they were serious. They didn't,which suggest to me they went into negotiations to buy our club and then when they checked their pockets they found out some didn't have enough or wasn't really committed in the first place.Do we really need these incompetent people running our club.Or someone who has the passion, money and guts to go for it.We may regret having taken the chance later if we do not take that chance, because one thing is for sure, these other jokers do not have the clout. We may be having this debate for many years to come because i don't see many other serious bidders.Yes Eric We could have some nice people run our club,do everything correct and polite, and all get on together.Oh yes...I nearly forgot...It's ever so nice being down here in the lower leagues, with all the wonderful people.
