Pietersen

News Just in Pietersen England career is over. Absolutely pathetic decision from England to get rid if its best player. Good luck drawing in the crowds now the main man is gone.

Looks like he wad pushed out, well done Cook and co enjoy playing dull boring cricket.

I think it's unlikely, although not impossible that Surrey will retain him. When they signed him they did so under the agreement that his wages would be paid for by england under the central contract rubbish. I can't see Surrey affording the money to pay him. I think he will become a t20 freelance player, nearing 34 and being dumped by your employers for no reason beyond managers being unable to manage, why not. Maybe Surrey will retain him, but at what cost.

Also, not all fans have moved on, kash said on here a while back that he's taken to eating more takeaways and potatoes just for old time sake and Inzy feel good factor
-----

That's blasphemy talking bad about Inzy, one of the finest Cricketers on the field.

Sachin Tendulkar left Cricket with great sorrow but in amicable circumstances.

KP is 33, and he is no way capable of playing long innings. But, he might have few years left in short form of cricket, i.e., 20-20, just like Andrew Symonds, Brummie born Oz.

Life after KP - Moeen Ali. Will Moeen be able to step up at international level? I think his off spin has got him the nod because there is not much out there for England in the spin department which is paramount in Bangladesh T20 WC.

A few points:

Why roll the issues of Trott and Swann together with KP and then beat the selectors with all three? Trott & Swann situation is nothing to do with the selectors.

I think many of the commentators on here are talking as if KP was still in his pomp: pre-captaincy. The reality is that he's been ordinary since 're-intergration' and makes it worse by appearing to play for himself rather than the team - hitting out with risky strokes when the situation calls for the opposite.

It seems to me his attitude is "I'm either going to play a glorious attacking innings, or I can't be bothered".

This is not an acceptable attitude from the senior pro IMHO. Maybe it would be different if his attacking attempts came off a fair proportion of the time, but they don't - not any more.

The difference between KP and Cook, Root, Bairstow etc are these are still young players, still improving. KP is a player past his peak and in decline - but it seems he's not willing to adapt his game to his current circumstances.
