This isn't a direct comparison as we're all aware they play on opposite sides of defence but both French Internationals have been key fixtures at their club for as long as they've been there. I'd say that both are in heavy decline at the minute and despite remaining regulars they're both shadows of the players they were I think we can agree.
Hard to separate as they've been as key as each other but which were better for their club overall?
I think Evra's prime just peaks Sagna's at both their very best however Sagna has been at a similar level for a longer period I feel. After Ronaldo left Evra got a little lost at left back as he began to start getting busier on the ball, Sagna has always kept it simple although now he's awfully slow at distributing the ball from time to time and weirdly backs his bum into opponents heaping pressure on himself .

Not only that but hes a huge huge influence in the dressing room, we've all heard /read some of his interviews, he's a big character, and that adds to his qualities
