Not sure if it's been mentioned on here yet but Walter is being considered for the next honours list.

What does everybody make of it? Will it be a Knighthood or maybe just some letters after his name.
Sir Walter has a nice ring to it doesn't it? I remember watching a game in the USA on ESPN where the daft American commentator kept calling him Sir Walter Smith the whole game. Think he confused him with Fergie.
Walter to be honoured?

If he is knighted then it is a disgrace not only to football but to humanity in general.

Calm the bitterness.
Walter has achieved a lot in the game and deserves some recognition.
Whether or not knighthoods, OBEs etc should be handed out for sporting achievement is another argument but if anyone is going to get one then Walter should be on the list.

Walter has won a lot of trophies in a country where there only two teams with a realistic chance of winning things and has won no major trophies outside of Scotland.
There is no chance he will be knighted.
