It couldn't really go to anyone else could it? He has done an amazing job with what is an average squad in my opinion.

Spent slot of money Caniggia, I wouldnt say they've got an average squad but he has made them very good this season. Looks like they're holding together better this season too.

They did spend a lot two seasons ago but have spent virtually nothing on transfers in last 12-18 months. They have a very good GK, a top CB and two good strikers. I think our squad is better but the manager should take the credit for the way they are playing.

Agreed
Lets hope the award curses the team as it has done in the past for us.

Morning all
I wouldn't say our squad is average but it's not the best in the championship, I think pound for pound QPRs is but Forest are a close 2nd in my view
We spent a lot of money 3 years ago, but most of those players have now gone. The reason we are in this position is down to some very shrewd transfer business since NPs arrival
Anthony Knockeart rarely gets mentioned but is a huge talent and has been very consistent this year, one of the most creative in the division with interest from prem clubs. He was a cheap signing from the French 2nd division
Wes Morgan was a bargain for £800k and Liam Moores rise from the development squad has been incredible this season. Lloyd Dyer has been tearing defences to bits and was a £750k Pearson signing from MK Dons years ago, again he rarely gets mentioned
On top of that Danny drinkwater has become one of the best holding midfielders in the division and Richie DeLaet was an inspired signing from Man Utd
So I strongly disagree it's an average squad but the reason NP gets so much credit is because he and his team are one of the best talent spotters outside of the prem and NP is a very good manager on the pitch

I thik average players can raise ther performance levls under a good manager and when surrounded by better players. I don't doubt that Drinkwater is a very decent DMC but I woldn't say Ritchie DeLaet is better than Forest's first choice back 4, although performance wise he's outperforming quite a few of our regular players. Dyer is another who I think is pretty average but his confidence is so high at the moment and he's having a great season. Then again, I must admit I've only seen Leicester play 5/6 times in last two seasons so I don't have the same knowledge as someone who watches them each week.
