The Legend Steve Walsh

The legend Steve Walsh has given a brutally frank interview to Radio Norwich

www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01rv32j

Its worth a listen, this guy is my greatest all time Leicester hero - In this interview he gives a tough account of how he left Leicester and how he didn't give his all for Norwich - This guy will always mean more to me than Peter Taylor who Walshie says stabbed him in the back.

Leaving Leicester triggered a series of shattering events that included splitting from his wife, losing his licence for drink driving causing him to daily commute by train to Norwich and fall into depression

OK losing his licence was his own fault and proper punishment for his crime and I think if the stories that were around at the time were true, its probably no surprise that Mrs Walsh finally had enough. All this was followed by his personal Bankruptcy

The above events caused him to move to Spain for 4 years while he got his head right. You can have your own thoughts, but legend status overrides everything and anyway, I'm no Sunday School teacher - Top bloke

I have said it before and I’ll say it again, that if you had given somebody a clear instruction to dismantle an established top ten Premier League team and bring it to the brink of extinction within the shortest time possible then you would have struggled to have done a more complete job than Peter Taylor did. This is the bloke who replaced Heskey and Collymore with Akinbuyi and Benjamin, Neil Lennon with Junior Lewis.

Whether Walsh was on his way out, or not, I’m convinced that PT mismanaged the situation completely. That’s because I’d rather believe someone who served with dedication and professionalism like Steve Walsh over someone who so obviously demonstrated his crass incompetence beyond any degree of ambiguity.

Danger-fox."this guy means more to me than Peter Taylor"
What type of comment is that?
My ex-wife means more to me than Peter Taylor!
He is not on the same level as Wise , Shearer and Hall, but deserves all the criticism he gets from our fans.

Walshy left his son at home alone when he went off to spain who then went off the rails thats more not something Peter taylor would of done.

Trading on his legend status theres a few of his team mates whos did not enjoy the attention he paid to there other half allegedly

Nev, other than your propensity to type teh when you mean the, along with a number of other attacks on the English language, I don't have a problem with you as a poster.

That said you don't seem to like our legend - I don't know Walshies son and I hope he's ok, but what a thing to lay at his door - I think you need to come up with some proof on the allegations you posted here or back off mate - Or maybe just back off anyway

To be fair Danger, Peter Taylor never left his son Junior unattended, and took him with him everywhere he went. That's dedication.
