Interesting interview - our Olivier discusses his journey through the French football leagues to where his is today. He also reiterates his desire to be successful with Arsenal and have an impact at the club. There is also a recognition that he is not in the upper echelon of strikers in the league, but he sets out his desire for continued self improvement and how this is fueled by the faith of those at the club, in particular Wenger.
One of the more (hopefully) prescient quotes from the article:
"I said something earlier in the season to a French newspaper and they made a big thing of it with the headline 'Legend!' I didn’t mean I wanted to become a legend at Arsenal, more that I want to make a mark in Arsenal’s history. I don’t want to come across as arrogant, saying I want to be the best ever. I just want to be remembered here."
Overall he comes across as a reasonable, good-natured bloke. I hope he can raise his game to face the challenging months ahead.

He's certainly had an impact. We all miss RvP even more.

It seems I am in a very small minority on here, but I really like Giroud. He is a much more deft player than people give him credit for, and he strives to help the team out all over the pitch. He's not been the most deadly of strikers, but I think that's because we've changed the way we've played to accommodate our skilful midfielders, and he is excellent at bringing them into the game and creating space for them to thrive.

I agree with Flaminishirtsleeves....I like Giroud...he works hard and has talent....his goal last week was superb...but I think he would benefit with another striker...

I don't really understand how people can give such stick to a guy with such a good attitude who clearly gives everything for the team (and is performing well, if not spectacularly).
