Arsenal vs United game going ahead.

Not sure if too many people are aware but there is a second tube strike planned for next week and that was a threat to this game going ahead.

Apparently Arsenal have come out and said that tube strike or not, this game will be going ahead. Good news as no-one likes to see any game called off, especially with Arsenal's injuries now! Saying that, it will be chaos for 60,000 fans getting there as the tube system is a huge part of fans getting to the game as there is minimal parking and not many other ways for fans to get there. Expect a delayed kick off.

As for the game, I was impressed with how we started the Chelsea game a few weeks back and hope we start the same way. We played well against Chelsea but were toothless so hopefully with the big guns up front we can put away the chances we get and come away with a good 3 points. There's every chance Liverpool will drop points today so we need to win our next few games to get to the Liverpool game within striking distance of overtaking them.

"They are supposed to be the deadly strike partnership set to breathe life back into Manchester United’s stalling campaign – but judging from the stats Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie have still got a bit of work to do on their link-up play.

Van Persie made just three passes to Rooney during Saturday’s defeat at Stoke – all from the kick-off!"

That's it! The three amigos won't be played together and I'm changing my bet for today.
Rooney first goalscorer.
Van Persie to be rested for Arsenal

I've been saying for ages that Rooney and RVP don't link up that well together.

That said, when fit all three will be in the starting lineup.

RVP's cup final is on Wednesday - I reckon he'll be taking it very easy today.

I don't think they're the best partnership but they were immense together during the Fulham away game earlier on this season. I don't think they've started together much since then due to injuries. They might get better with time.

Rob, yeah that was probably their best game together.

whats your bet this week robb ?

Whenever i have seen them play up top i haven't really seen great combination play between them, very rare infact. Given time and plenty of games together they will only get better.

Also with Mata in the team, hopefully our attack and midfield can be abit more positive and on the front-foot, passing forward alot more, bringing the attackers into play. The attack has been 'lethargic' for large parts of the season. Lack of chances being created is a massive problem.

United (-1)
Chelsea
City
Arsenal or draw

United (-1)
City (-1)
Chelsea

I feel the Spurs/Everton game will be a draw so put that in if you want. But for me it's too much of a risk if you're betting over £50 on it.
