TEAM PRINCIPLES 2013 TOP 10 DRIVERS

hi guys

I always find it interesting and a credible barometer when the team principles have there collective vote on the drivers abilities and not the machines they were driving and the link below is there collective expert votes on the 2013 abilities of there top 10 drivers in numerical order -

it was hardly a surprise that vettel and alonso were 1 and 2 , nobody else comes remotely close too there combination of tyre intelligence , work ethic and race intelligence and pace on race day ,

i personally would put grosjean and hulk above kimi raikk who was no 3 , however kimi raikk did put in some good performances ,

not sure about hamilton at no 4 for me he had another average season and put in too many mediocre performances on race day given his machinery , would also put grosjean and hulk above rosberg and hamilton -- grosjean especially i thought was becoming the real deal in the 2nd half of the season ,

webber as quick as he is never equalled vettels mastery with the tyres or his performances then again who did , which makes me believe the red bull was not quite the dominant force that some think it was -

as for button - at times he can be very good and at times about as much use as a scouse bin dipper at the hunt ball , probably no 9 is about right for him , not quite sure about massa as having alonso as a team mate did him no favours ,

would be interested to hear other peoples views on the team principles collective voting ---- link below

You agree with them when they pick Alonso and Vettel but disagree with them when they pick Hamilton and Kimi.

However you say they are credible, so what's the issue?

Personally I would go for;

1) Alonso (he is just phenomenal)
2) Kimi (did very well and would have finished higher up if Lotus did not feck him around)
3) Hamilton (New year, new car, takes a brave man to leave his comfort zone to start afresh, had a decent year)
4) Rosberg (surprise package of the season. Not given enough respect for his abilities. I would have put him higher on the list but Hamilton came into his team and beat him in his first season)
5) Hulkenberg (how this guy has not been given a decent ride is criminal)
6) Button (Steady season, kept his head even though he was given a mediocre car to drive)
7) Grosjean (ended the season strongly was crap when the year started)
8) Massa (What can I say about Felipe baby)
9) Webber (I would have scored him higher but he just didn't bother trying after the team screwed him. The number of DNFs he had was shocking)
10) Vettel (easy to look good when everything's going your way)

I scored the redbull drivers so low simply because of the massive advantage they had. It is not difficult to look good in a good car

good evening manx

Its just my personal opinion manx that does not mean to say i am correct , far from it as the team principles have more knowledge in there little fingers than any of us on here , hence why you have to respect there collective opinions ,

i always find the polls by the principles or the drivers interesting as we get something resembling an accurate idea of the pecking order of the drivers -

must admit ever since i became interested in F1 i have always had a bias for the more intelligent drivers that have a bit of charisma about them ,the more intelligence they show in there driving and if that is equalled by what comes out of there mouth the more i like and respect them --

Strange how things work, if you'd asked after the Silverstone race (pre-tyre change), Grosjean would have been nowhere near the list, Rosberg surely ahead of Hamilton & Di Resta would probably be in place of Hulkenberg.

Can't really argue with the list though. It's a fair reflection of the performances throughout the season, at least for the top drivers. Think Massa is a bit lucky to be on the list at all, whilst Button perhaps deserved better than 9th. Difficult to tell though with the poorer cars.

DH - this i suppose is the answer to you believing rosberg should be higher than hamilton

4) Rosberg (surprise package of the season. Not given enough respect for his abilities. I would have put him higher on the list but Hamilton came into his team and beat him in his first season)
