How 'bout you watch a match and see how many potential opportunities he squanders with awful through balls. Though there are still matches where he does well and hits a good percentage of them, ala Arsenal. But for the most part this season he's been largely wasteful, hence why he's been subbed off 10 times.

And don't get me started his shooting. He hits the ball like a 10 year old. Wish he would stop shooting from outside the box.

And looking at the stats quickly. Out of Coutinho, Henderson, Gerrard, Sterling & Suarez. Coutinho misplaces more passes per match than them.

And he is bang in the middle when it comes to chances created per match.

No. Gerrard, Henderson & Suarez have created 10, 10 & 21 more chances than him this season respectively. So there goes that theory.

Granted Henderson has played like, 700 minutes more than Coutinho.
