I've heard 'it IS off', 'it MIGHT be called off' and 'don't get carried away, talks are ONGOING'.

One of the news channels broke the story an hour or so ago, saying industrial action planned by staff is to be called off. Only to see a statement minutes later saying that wasn't the case.

Look's like they're trying to reach a compromise before this evening. Fingers crossed.

They have suspended it... ie have carte Blanche to reinstate it at another time.
