Being that the current top 4 in the PL are as strong a top 4 as we've ever seen in this league (being that it doesn't include United who surely won't be this bad next season) do we as football fans need to alter our expectations?
Obviously we should aim for the league and of course in time we'll be right back up there again but is finishing 4th place that bad nowadays?
Before we mocked Arsenal for finishing 4th and celebrating like it was a trophy but right now coming 4th in this league is a huge achievement!
I accept we won't finish 4th this year but if someone told you now that the league would be as competitive next season but we'd finish 4th would you be disappointed or would you accept that nowadays that is pretty decent finish considering the other sides we're competing with.
Not a single team in this league can take top 4 for granted from this season and even if SAF was in charge right now he would probably consider getting in the top 4 as hard as getting in the top 2 in previous campaigns.

He would never criticise Fergie either. I think he seems to think that by not criticising the manager it makes him a better fan.
Which is hilarious, because he makes more outrageous comments about the actual club and the players than some of these so called plastics that criticise the manager.
