Ok I know some will say no way here due to valencias performances on the wing
But I honestly think he would be fantastic in MF next to say carrick. He has the pace and energy to be box to box. Yes he is one footed but I don't think that would matter. In terms of covering he has the attributes
Against arsenal we need to do a Fulham basically drop back and defend in our third and break fast
degea
raf jones vidic evra
young carrick Valencia adnan
mata
RVP
This team is very balanced IMO with availability against Arsenal
Yeah I know rooney isn't there but I dont see the need for tracking back with Valencia and jones in those positions, both players are energetic and can close play down
Thoughts, and please give reasons rather than just insults or name calling.
Valencia in MF

Probably, 1982.

Darren - in terms of ramires I don't disagree with you necessarily re his limitations. But in terms of his role for Chelsea he is spot on. I would actually have him at UTD to do the ''donkey work'' and allow our team to play the likes of kagawa and mata at the same time without worrying about tracking back

Or we could sign a midfielder that can do that and play football?

LOL we have wanted that for a long time Darren.
funnily enough did you know in the first match SAf ever took charge he played Paul McGrath in MF
So this playing players out of position is not a new phenomenon like some would have us believe

It's not new but he seemed to take it to new depths in the past couple seasons.

manutd1982 - tbh mate as much as I love SAf he was making some weird decisions towards the end
In all honesty mate I actually feel sorry for Moyes because I believ the whole situation was SAFs fault.
Sure people will point to the last season yet even without all the variables amongst the other clubs (signings managers etc) last season was an anomaly and the season before where we lost the league to city by conceding points and a big lead was a better indication of how things were
Also scholes leaving has made a difference more than people would credit

I agree SAF has to take a lot of responsibility but so too does Moyes. I know we weren't playing very attractive football in SAF's last couple seasons but he won us matches and instilled a winning mentality in all our players which seems to have completely disappeared.
I agree last season was an anomaly but in hindsight you also have to give credit to SAF for being able to win the league by 11 points, no matter who does that with whatever players it's an impressive achievement.
I'm not too sure about Scholes, we miss the Scholes of old but I can't recall him playing that much last season, definitely not near the end and he didn't seem to be missed much then.

Moral of the story: crap players now and again score quality goals.
