gathering momentum according to the media, but with a third of the season still play, Spurs are only three points behind Liverpool, but not even mentioned as being in the race. Now we know in all probability that Spurs are not in a title race, but being just three points behind Liverpool, and only seven points of the top with nearly a third of the season still to go, are Spurs going completely under the radar, given that they seem to be coming into their best form of the season at exactly the right time.
Let`s look at the remaining fixtures
Home
Cardiff
Arsenal
Southampton
Sunderland
Fulham
Villa
Away
Norwich
Chelsea
Liverpool
WBA
Stoke
West Ham
OK, now forgetting about the three most difficult games on paper, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, I will come back to those later, what are we left with
I would certainly expect Spurs to pick up their home form, and win all the rest of the remaining home games, that would yield 15 points. Of the away games, and with Spurs excellent away form, it would certainly not be beyond the realms of possibility that Spurs could win at Norwich, WBA, Stoke and West Ham, I think they won at three of those grounds last season, that would give another 12 points.
OK now that brings us back to Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, of which Spurs gained four points from the corresponding set of fixtures last season. Now if Spurs could replicate that form, gaining four points from wherever, not necessary the same results, ie they may get a point at Liverpool, may win at Chelsea, but may lose at home to Arsenal, whatever, as long as the four points are gained, then no major ground will have been lost. Anyway the target is 4 points.
So that would mean Spurs from now until the end of the season in my opinion could be looking at their current 50 points, plus 15 more home points, 12 away points, plus 4 points from their three most difficult fixtures, giving a grand total of 81 points, which without actually meaning Spurs doing anything out of the ordinary, must surely put Spurs right in the mix.
With Liverpool`s title charge apparently

Seems to me that you're only taking Spurs and Liverpool into account here or you've totally not noticed that the top three have lost a little momentum. Chelsea drew at West Bromwich and were hanging on towards the end, Arsenal thrashed and drew, Manchester City beaten and drew. I see Spurs and Liverpool as the teams upwardly mobile and the others flagging. Mata is a big loss to Chelsea I think we'll see.

TRUE! But we are relying on them slipping up, all of them! and the likelihood of that happening is slim...a give for Arsenal though

Manchester City from free scoring to zilch in two matches, Arsenal couldn't beat Moyes and co which leaves Chelsea without Mata, wait and see.

If spurs beat Chelsea and Arsenal and LFC beat City and Chelsea and United beat City & LFC and City and Arsenal draw and we beat LFC then we have a chance, i think

Anyway it is all boiling up, and most Spurs fans are very relaxed over the run in I suspect, hoping of course, but would not be surprised if it goes all titttts up.

Spurs have been shart all season and are just beginning to look like a decent team and putting some decent form together if still way off the what our players should be capable of.
Liverpool have been at full throttle for most of the season and are yet to have any sort of dip in form, also they are benifitting from good luck at the right times, it would very unusual for a team to go a whole season without experiencing a dip in form and a change of luck.
Spurs have had plenty of bad luck, poor form and upheaval, Liverpool have yet to experience any of this, it may well happen before the season is out.

Best comment in the thread!
Funny cos its true.
Sandy, to pick up 31 points we can only afford to lose 1 and draw 1 from the remaining 12.
If we do that, then yes, obviously we will be in the mix!
Will we do that?
Feck no!
