Any serious runners or footballers out there...
I've got an 11 a side game tomorrow morning. Is it ok to go a run today?
It is only a 4km route but I try to do it as fast as possible so I wouldn't say it is easy...
Would this have a positive, negative or indifferent effect on my leg endurance and stamina tomorrow morning?

I used to play 11s on a Saturday morning.
Getting up aff the couch more than once on a Friday night would hamper my performance on the Saturday

I used to run to and from the football back when I was 19-20 and running 100miles a week. Never used to make much difference to me. Now however walking from the car to the pitch takes it out of me. I could do with a seat when I'm spectating if truth be told.
It is normally the eccentric contractions that cause the muscle damage, so don't "open up" on the down-hills.

Warm up and cool down help prevent injuries wob, make sure you do it before you do any strenuous exercise.
