To win me my money back after that debacle at Anfield.

Arteta on his own protecting the back four - do me a favour.
Wenger to take a leaf out of Pellegrini's book today (Milner against Chelsea) and shore it up at the back.
Half Time Arsenal / Full Time Arsenal : 7/2

Arteta protected the back 4 fine when we cruised to the win at the emirates.

Liverpool improved dramatically since November and last week.

Arteta's a good tackler, positions himself intelligently, and redistributes the ball well.
But you're right; he's no longer mobile enough to anchor the midfield on his own. I think a new ball-winning midfielder should be one of the club's priorities this Summer.

arteta was all at sea and is slowing down by the minute, he needs all the help he can from the frenchman.
Against good teams like Liverpool we need to be a bit cynical.

first of all thank you, second cynical, do you mean cheat!
I thought Liverpool were mid table fodder and players like Henderson and Sterling were rubbish, may how times have changed, we now go to away games anf they fear us!

I think its about the CM partnership rather than individual players. Flamini and Ramsey both cover a lot of ground, often reaching 10km in a match. Wilshere and Arteta both cover considerably less. That's why all of the combinations work better except Arteta and Wilshere (and I don't recall ever seeing Ramsey and Wilshere). We need at least one of the workhorses in there.
