Spot on again Tim

I think Sherwood has once again made a very good decision, this time in not bringing the likes of Ade, Walker, Dembele, Kaboul and Lloris to Ukraine.

These guys are very important players and could certianly do without this long journey and tough game, whilst there are plenty of talented and hungry squad players chomping at the bit for the chance to prove themselves.

I would expect something like this;

Friedel
Naughton Dawson Verts Rose
Capoue Bentaleb Paulinho
Townsend Soldado Chadli

That team is certainly good enough to get a result out there, and if needed some of the big boys can come back next week at white hart lane.

Sherwood is impressing me more each week. His tactics are improving whilst he's understood how to handle the Europa.

Keep up the good work Tim

Looks good on paper. Naughton / Capoue will have their work cut out with Konoplyanka who is pretty nimble / quick down the left.

Its a no brainer. We have the quality to get a half decent result with our 2nd XI

I have to say I have been well impressed by Sherwood so far.

When at first he was playing 442 I was worried but he has been able to adapt and also is not scared to make a decision.

Bentaleb looks real quality and of course Ade is like a new signing.

I also thought that in the january transfer window it was quite refreshing Tim saying that he didnt want to buy anyone and that the squad was good enough.

The truth is although we probably always need players to improve us the fact we got in so many players at one go is that they havnt gelled yet.

Now i dont know how the results will go from now until the end of the season but if we did decide to get a new manager he will want to bring in his own players which would mean more upheaval.

Do we really want this?

Sorry OP I have kind of gone off the subject here!

I agree completely Burghandy. Sherwood is keeping things simple but also evolving with tactics and personnel.

Hope he doesn't get replaced in the off season. I doubt van gaal/Prandelli would do any better.

Just reported that death toll has now risen to over 50, might yet see match called off.

Half the Ukrainian Olympians have left Sochi and gone home too
