If you lot put that same team out against us in the Cup you will probably run us over.
I can never understand why pundits and fans don't tell it like it really is and last night was no different. Here's why :
1. Two young Englishmen in Wilshere and Oxlade taking on Kroos and Lahm - from the best team on the planet was a mismatch of epic proportions.
2. A 20 year old striker from La Ligue 2 on debut in the CL was a massive ask. Romelu Lukaku must have smashed his TV in frustration.
3. Ozil cannot be expected to play his game without Rosicky, Ramsay and a top centre forward. He thrives on one twos and clever runs and if the personel around him are not on the same page he is powerless.
4. A Wenger team does not have the DNA to play bus park football sucessfully and never will - so the red card meant game over.
5. And yet pre. the sending off it could have been 3-1 to Arsenal.
You're a £30 million striker plus no first team injuries off perfect results.
All in all Wenger is very close to picking up a shedload of trophies but he doesn't half make it difficult on himself.
I fully expect Wenger to rest your fullbacks plus a couple of others for the Cup tie and for that we will be most grateful.
GREAT EXPECTATIONS

"There's nothing worse than hearing a commentator like Andy Townsend"
Again. Completely agreed.

I will add, the commentators I was listening to were creaming themselves over us in the first 10 mins and kept giving praise throughout.

So it takes an Everton supporter to save me from starting a new thread to remind people of what actually happened. Thanks for that, I couldn't remember how to start a new topic.
Taking on board Sticky Toffees' valid points, I challenge any other team to go against Bayern for the best part of an hour with only 10 men and see where they end up.
There is no crisis here despite the growing injury list. We were not shamed in our determination to maintain some sort of equilibrium from the game for the return leg and statistics may have hard on the eye but what else are you supposed to do against the best possession based team in Europe in these circumstances??? Given the circumstance our only error was punching above our weight thinking we could grab a goal when the best case scenario would have been to enter the 2nd leg only a goal down.
Down and out on paper but I don't care, I expect us to go and give them a proper game like we did last year.

Hmm. Arsenal are like playground bullies. Pretty good when they're pushing a little kid around, but absolutely pitiful when the big boy turns up.
It's the crying that I find most shameful. Good god, the way that they caved in last night was an utter embarrassment to the English PL.
I'm fully expecting the monotonously predictable plunging out of contention on all fronts now. What a waste of a CL place Arsenal's is.
Vile.
