Soldado... Torres mk II

The biggest decline in football of all time considering it had nothing to do with age is from Torres, of course Chelsea played their part in that as they have a specialty in ruining top strikers (Sheva, Kezman, Crespo, Eto'o) Their interest in Cavani/Costa doesn’t frighten me as they'll both follow suit.

Spurs now are in a similar situation with a guy that is a shadow of his shadows former self awful player and unlike Ozil (who's been nowhere near as bad infact he's been so good he's got time to have a blip) Nobody is calling Soldados form a blip as he's been the same since august. He's also missing chances which is actually all he's good for which makes him a useless player right now.

Torres allowed Drogba to regain his spot and become Chelsea's saviour again simarlarly to Ade now. £80m between the 2 WC winners what a waste. Then there's the £16m Negredo!

Spurs' interest in Benteke has also made him awful this year and would have been like this if he went there... 2 cursed clubs small London clubs ruining big talents!

That is all but do you think Soldado can end up like Torres where a goal makes us believe he's back but proves to be a lie.... like his hat-trick.....

Agree with WR. Soldado is more of wrong move for player and club, just hasnt worked out for either. Yet.

Torres was one of (if not the best) striker in the world at the time of his move.
________

No he wasnt. He was never the same after his injury in the World Cup 2010.

We bought Shevchenko, Eto'o and Torres when they were all past their best, for varying reasons. Kezman was never a top striker, and we got plenty of goals out of Crespo, though he never hit the true highs in the PL.

Nope Chelsea you ruined them like you ruined English football...... these are fax (facts)

Also it doesn't really take adapting to score some of the chances Soldado's had especially as that's all his game revolves around and he's typically got in great positions....

Ozil adapting is different as the time and space he requires is very different when on the ball. That's more a question of picking up the pace of this league, Soldado has actually adapted to the pace quite well forming a decent partnership with Ade, demonstrating good link up play and getting into dangerous positions but is now incapable of scoring..... the monsters took his powers! Like Chelsea took Torres.

Also Chelsea fans don't give me those ages as excuses the amount you brought Sheva for shows you had high expectations for him yet you ruined him!

I don't think Chelsea ruined Torres at all, he ruined himself.

He went for the lifestyle and the money, that much is obvious. He just never put the effort in at Chelsea, all the hunger and desire to do well just left him. He just simply wasn't bothered and his body language in every game showed that.

I actually think both soldado and Torres's would flourish at arsenal

Don't be silly Gunner Gooner Torres isn't about all the glamour, he went there with a desire to win things and considering L'pool's state at the time it was pretty fair.

Chelsea ruined him as other top strikers that have suffered a similar downfall proved

Castor too late to revive Torres he's hopeless now

How did Chelsea ruin Torres then?

This should be interesting, if not informative.

Price tag, making him live under Drogba, manager tinkering, lacking footballing philosophies (hoof to Drogba style) and all the ways Sheva and co. were ruined...
