its inevitable that this would be his best position. on the wing. he may be decent at defending, but we need someone who is comfortable with the ball when you got fowards steamrolling their way in you direction. if we play glen there, then our defence suddenly becomes more easier to select.

also, glens pace can be overwhemling at times and his crossing/shooting is good enough. look at spurs for example. they converted bale into a midfielder and now look. he was rumoured as they best winger in the world. maybe a bit over the top, but you get my point.
and lastly, when he was at pompey, their manager tried to put him in midfield, and he only went and scored the goal of the season.

He will play right back. I think Kenny is going to stick with Hendo on the right and have Kuyt as back up. I would prefer it the other way around myself

we could just rid of poulsen, cole and meireles or aqua and loan out shelvey and coady. that'll be fair. and use kuyt as a game changer. if things arent going well, get him off the bench.

Johnson isn't always great going forward though he doesn't have the consistancy to perform at right wing we're his soul job is too attack!

In my view, Glen Johnson, a much-improved player under Kenny and Steve, is still not a defender. He should be moved to midfield. Who fills in the back four is open to debate. I am still waiting for Wilson to be given a chance; sadly, and I do mean sadly, for Agger and Skrel need to be replaced, the first because he is injury-prone, Skrtel because he is just not good enough, and the youngsters to be given a chance. Kelly is very good, as if Flanna, but there are also others in the youth team that deserve their chance. Ayala to Norwich, for me, is bad business. How long is Pacheco going to hang around waiting for a chance? I'm not knocking the management but, give the young 'uns a chance Kenny. YNWA JimmyTheRed
