Moyes after Lennon?

"David Moyes has earmarked a wedge of his summer transfer £300million funds to buy Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon as a replacement for Antonio Valencia.

The Manchester United boss has been a fan of the England international since his days in charge at Everton and wants the 26-year-old from Yorkshire to be part of his transformation at Old Trafford."

Obviously just another rumour but I don't want Lennon sold, he gets a lot of stick on here but for me his defensive work is invaluable as well as his ability to stretch sides and keep opposition fullbacks honest.

United fans - would you be happy with him as a replacement for Valencia?

Lennon is crap - then again, so is Valencia

Sorry, if anyone believes United have £300m to spend in the summer they must be on something!

At best they could probably release around £100m+ but remember they are still hundreds of millions in debt, will have no CL next season unless they win it this year & we all know that is not going to happen!

Finally, with Moyes's stock so low at present, does anyone think the club will give him that warchest to spend?

The vultures will be circling any war chest of United's whatever the final amount turns out to be. ManU's apparent decline (season is not over yet) is monumental and potentially so damaging that any player they go for will be seriously marked up. By the way, Lennon's buy out clause is allegedly £75m Mr Moyes, take it or leave it)! Don't shoot me for stating the obvious but the lack (or potential lack) of CL next year will also put top players off going wont it? Perhaps they wont have the same faith that Uniteds board do in Moyes making it work. I also think UTD have dropped the biggest gonad by giving Shrek £16m a year for 5 years. Set the bar.

Yes they will be marked up granted but wouldn't exactly say it is monumental.
We can still give out huge wages and if spurs and city before they were in CL can attract big players then united certainly can.

If he had a good goalscoring record then yeah why not but its just as bad as Valencias and Youngs

Fergie, by United standards it is. And I do wonder how many £15m a year players you can afford with FFP in place? And whats this about season ticket holders must turn up for the Greek game or have the ticket suspended for the City game. That's just petty. Is that about filling the stadium or match day revenue I wonder?
