Just keep everyone (wisdom and bamford) + couple of argentinians/foreigners (as evans said he was scouting) and we will finish in automatics. I can see us and wigan romping it next season- as cardiff and fulham going down will be an absoluelty mess

Wisdom won't be sold. Could be a change of him being loaned again however.

Do you reckon he could break into your first team next year then Liverpool fans?
Big fan myself, not sure right back is his best position, hoping you want him lovingly nurtured for one more year before your owners decide to impatiently buy some foreign expensive defenders that can read a GPS, and leave Wisdom way below in the pecking order.

F me , we lost today but having watched the other teams around us we have no one to fear , we lost at Leicester in a similar way to throwing away three points today and two against Brum .I said before today we needed to bring in Thorne with Eustace and play Bryson in front of them with Russell and Dawkins wide and Martin up top . I think SM is great and so much more tactically aware than what we had but he is brave to keep playing Hughes especially in games like today , Brum and Leicester !
The cavalier style has been refreshing and so much more exciting and taken us within a whisper of the big lights , but now he needs to take stock, bring in Thorne squeeze it up and bore the f in pants off us all and get to the prem and we have the players to do it and the right manager to carry it out but you know sometimes in management you can get blinkered . Steve have a few days off look at the tapes and put it right.
Forget all the talk about next f in year this IS our year we are up there now we will bounce back next week . Burnley have a tough run in and QPR looked shat today , Leicester will blow up , Reading could not beat 8 men , Forest have problems Wigan look most likely. SO COME ON NO MORE NEXT YEAR TALK WE ARE GOING UP !

He's a centre back for me. He's not good enough offensively, certainly not at Premier League level, for me.
I don't think he'll be breaking into the team next season but it's beginning to look like we'll make the Champions League and that means more games and thus fringe players will have to play more. I have no issues with Wisdom playing cup games at right back, until he's ready in the centre. However we could buy in that area with Kelly really struggling to get any sort of form back as his injuries take their toll and Johnson likewise.

2 wellies , when twenty did not have the ball and went to 4 2 3 1 the two players in front of the back four were disciplined and did not get drawn out like Hughes and Hendrick a lot of young players get caught ball watching and find it hard to sit in and these young guns at Derby are caught so often out of position and fail to pick up runners , thats reflected in the amount of free kicks they give away out of frustration and desperation , being caught a yard short by not reading the game and anticipating a players movement , they are young and will learn but we are in need of these qualities now and with Thorne and Eustace in the squad we have no excuse raelly. But SM calls the tune and quite right but they all make mistakes , easy to sit in an armchair and pick fault he sees them in training and knows their attitude and fitness we can only judge on game time and in Thornes case last years performances .

True Robrea but also I feel McClaren instructs Hendrick, Bryson and/or Hughes to push on, I sometimes feel Hughes looks twice the player when he does hang back, maybe Martin's pace or lack of it makes him think we'll invite people onto us if we go 4-2-3-1.
Like you said we're armchair managers though. If Derby did want to train me up (with pay) so I could reach the lofty heights of Under 6's manager or boot kit liason officer then I'd happily get out of my armchair though.

Rob...are you saying todays game was similar to Leicester and Birmingham? Because all 3 games were very different. Was you there today?

In my opinion Burnley are not a top 2 side. We battered them with 10 men in the second half

wassa , bang on, but they are where they are because the rest are not that good . I have watched Leicester and QPR this season and thought they were average it is all down to consistency and no one is showing enough it is wide open and for me we are as good as any and have as much chance as the rest , I just feel at times we could go for a more solid side without jepordising our attacking instinct.
I feel over the past few weeks I have been hard on Hughes but just watch the first goal yesterday and keep an eye on him it spells out what I have been saying . SM said not long ago Hughes needed a break and left him out only for him to come on when we had an early injury , why has he not been rested recently then.
Is SM under pressure to play him to make the big boys think he is irreplaceable in the team to rock up his stock value. Risky business as his form is dipping with every game. Does anyone think he looks stronger or a better player than this time last season , I would say he is less effective . The lad needed a break at Christmas and he still does.
