This is far from a white country... dunno what you're on about but those days are truly over. Englandis one of the most diverse countries in the world
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Which is why this country is losing it's identity. Diversity can be a good, but a multicultural society poses so many more issues then an monocultural one.
None of this has anything to do with what Sol is saying and Sol is being so paranoid it makes me think he must be a covert Mouser.

Majority of population is white. The prime minister is white. The queen is white. Hence a white country. What's so hard to understand.

if that were true, sol wouldnt have been given the captaincy on the 3 occasions he had it!
its comments like this that keep racism alive.
you cant stop people being racist. they will be racist in private.
the only way to eradicate it is to teach kids that there is no difference, not what they shoudl and shouldnt say or do.
sadly, sol is playing a pathetic racism card to sell a few more boooks...shameful

I can understand that he may feel frustrated about not getting the England captaincy, but for him to claim that he would have had it for "10 years" is ludicrous.
He was never going to displace Adams or Shearer as captain in the 90's. The only time he had a realistic chance of gaining the captaincy was after Shearer retired in 2000. In the end, Beckham was a bigger star and rightly or wrongly, it's understandable that he got the role.
By the time Ferdinand returned from his drugs ban, Campbell was no longer first team material and would have been unable to retain the captaincy. In my opinion, if he had been lucky, he may have been captain for 4 years.
I'm fairly unimpressed by the insinuation that his race had anything to do with his omission from the role. It's one thing to be upset about being overlooked for one of the most coveted jobs in England, but maybe he could have expressed his disappointment without implying that we're all racists.

David Beckham was Mr England for most of 2000-2010. He had more impact and more influence on the team's success during the early part of that decade especially, barring maybe Michael Owen.
Beckham was one of those players who really responded to the captaincy. John Terry, and to a lesser extent, Steven Gerrard, were both leaders on the pitch regardless of whether they wore the armband or not.
Bringing race into the issue is ugly. And, in this case, completely unfounded.

he only went to Notts County for Sven, the same Sven who was allegedly racist and prevented him being captain at England
