5 Hendry Records Ronnie Would Love to Have

And what fellow Ronnie fans would love him to have. These are the ones I am hoping he can equal or beat, even now, at his age:

1. 7 World Titles or more (unlikely)
2. 18 Majors or more (reasonable)
3. 36 Ranking titles or more (very unlikely)
4. Most centuries overall (extremely likely)
5. 16 centuries at World Championship (unlikely)

My views on likelihoods in brackets.

What other records do you think a player would like to break?

one =won

Ronnie, Higgins and Williams were youngsters in 1992-96. When they started to mature, suddenly Hendry only won one Major more. From age 28 on, he won one Major. It can be no surprise that the extra competition affected his title haul.

Would be great to see a Hendry of 1993 v O' Sullivan of today. Of course a 17 year old Ronnie beat the man of the 1990's at the 1993 UK.

Daniel_You would put Barry Hawkins ahead of Jimmy White? Barry Hawkins is ok but he's nowhere near the class of Jimmy White. Jimmy won 10 ranking titles and he was a class player. He deserved to win at least one world title it is a shame he couldn't do it but obviously as a Hendry fan I didn't want him to beat Hendry in any of those World finals lol.

I would put him ahead of white in terms of that World Final. Not as an overall player. Barry played amazing and in a world final versus Jimmy, he's the one who would win imho. Jimmy just didn't have the bottle.

White as an overall player was in a league of his own. He could do things even Ronnie couldn't.

Don't know about that Dan, perhaps the rest play and a bit more cue power.

Well, I mean talent wise certain shots, especially the spin shot. I didn't mean overall he is greater than Higgins or Williams or O'Sullivan etc. He just didn't have the bottle or commitment and that's a shame in some ways. He did have an immense natural talent. Not Ronnie's or Alex's :P But a lot.

He did, but the bottle was missing, especially ion 1992, and 1994, in his biography on the telly the other week he said that he wasn't bothered at losing to Steve Davis in 1984 as he would win it eventually ! Shocking attiude of a young Jimmy ! Thats why he is in the second bracket of players. The top bracket includes Hendry, Davis, Higgins ( j) and Ronnie .

One statistic I wish Ronnie had achieved is to hold all 3 majors at the same time.

2001 World and UK

2004 World and 2005 Masters

2007 Masters and UK

2007 UK and 2008 Worlds

2013 Worlds and 2014 Masters

But never all 3 as far as I can remember.
