I am not arguing that, just dispelling the 'crock of shi..' myth. Football tends to bring out the worst in people, and the worst people are often diehard football fans.

Crowds tend to bring out Mob-Mentality, you get crowds at football matches and people who are opposed to you, hence...........

I think the problem of Racism in the UK is alive and kicking. But its a general problem within the whole of society. The issue i have is that the documentary tried to portray the issue as a solely football related issue. It isn't. Islamophobia and anti-semitism is rife whenever groups of young(ish), white males filled with alcohol congregate.

I think things like Twitter and FB bring out the worst in people, it turns them into keyboard warriors. Then there are your walter mittys and your cyber chameleons that make out they are one thing to try and discredit another.
Take some of these mails you see.
Don't buy coffee from Starbucjks as they don't support troops.
Don't buy petrol from these gas stations because they have dubious practices.......
ETC.
People are quick to believe whatever suits there views and few will actually check the facts behind these stories, if they did they would discover they were a hoax. Someone always benefits though, rival companies for one.

Some of the things that I observed from this documentary.
1. The Everton fans singing racist songs about Sturridge.
Soft twa@ts.
2. The Millwall fans chanting Leicester Leicester Taliban.
Thick caaants
3. The Forest fans chanting Leicester City Illegimate.Theyve got aids and cant get rid of it. Poor old p--- b*******.
ignorant people
4. The anti semitic song singers
M0RONS
As for the gay stuff sung to Brighton fans everywhere they go, the authorities had a chance to put something in place many years ago as this used to happen at Watford in the 70's and 80's due to Elton John being chairman

Until the stewards at grounds and football clubs actually do something to stop vicious chanting, it will go on.
I think all personally abusive chanting is pathetic and animalistic. But the media love to just turn the mic's down and not even mention it, especially when it's a big clubs fans doing it.
The personal abuse and foul language at pretty much EVERY ground targeted at opposing players when they are taking corner's and throw ins is plain to see in a televised game. All of it should be stamped out and fans warned and if they persist ejected and if when they return for future games still persist, ban them!
It seems that a racist or homophobic phrase needs to be shouted before it is deemed unacceptable, this should go for all foul and abusive chanting.
