One manager per season rule?

Jamie Carragher's come out and suggested that the rules should be changed so that a club has to finish the season with the same manager that started it. What do we think?

Personally I think it's a great idea. It would make the league more unpredictable, as teams wouldn't be able to sack a manager that was performing poorly or had lost the dressing room, possibly leading them to finish lower than expected e.g. AVB at Spurs. It would also give managers more time to implement a long term vision. Us liverpool fans have seen with Rogers that given time to put your vision across you can work wonders. It also gives managers a chance when you have trigger happy owners, lik in the Case of Rafa at Inter, who IMO was doing a good job and didn't deserve the sack, or Malky Mackay who most would argue was doing fairly well.

Also it would mean that man u would keep moyes for longer

Thoughts?

And now he has six years or a big payout and no pressure. Made for life......for one seasons hard work/good fortune?

Carragher is a facking squeaky voiced, pop eye jawed has-been who should keep his facking trap shut about all matters to do with anything. The less we have to hear from his facking gob, the better.

My goodness... how long did it take your carer to wipe up the dribble after that outburst..?

Not sure about this one but I think a special rule should be made for United that they can't change manager ever.

I think Carraghers looking at it from a prospective managers point of view. Why would any ex-pro want to go into management these days when it's such an unstable professsion?
As an up and coming manager you need time to gain experience, there's no chance of that in the modern game.
We're seeing an deficiency of new managers coming through as a result, meaning mugs like Moyes who have managed to hang around at mid-table clubs are getting the top jobs.. which of course I'm delighted with

Haven't read all the comments so this has probably already been said but surely there's laws in place in this country to protect employers as well as employees.

I'm sure this would contravene one of these laws?

Carragher should ask John W what his take on contract clauses are

just wondering if he thought this when Hodgson was in charge at Liverpool and if so why he didn't say anything to support his manager

So an employer is not allowed to sack an employee for being useless?

What a stupid idea.

OP, Rafa did a poor job at Inter, his replacemet salvaged their season.

With few exceptions, that is the most stupid idea I've read for some time.
