A lot has been made of how poor Liverpool's ever changing defence has been this year - but one thing you cannot question is the attack and the amount of goals we have scored. Now, there was 6 players that played the last game against Southampton who were English. 5 of which should start for England, in my opinion.
I think it makes great sense to work around Liverpool's midfield and attack - especially considering there isn't another option which is significantly better.
Henderson has surely played his way into the first team. Sterling is playing extremely well and has matured greatly this season, at a ridiculous pace. The England attack would be very strong and have instant cohesion because they all play together week in week out.
GK
Back 4
Gerrard-Hendo
Wilshere
Sterling Sturridge Rooney
Wilshere is a similar creative player to Coutinho, but with more of a directness within his play. Rooney would be Suarez' replacement and has the ability to do everything Luis can do.

Yea, it will be very interesting to see how he sets the team out. I imagine you'll be right. Wayne Rooney front and centre once more, I'd imagine.
Fr the record, I don't have anything against Rooney, I just don't buy into the hype surrounding him, especially in an England shirt.

Mate, don't worry, I'm one of the United fans that feels the same.

All 3 of S S and Rooney would rotate so their starting positions become pretty irrelevant (as in who's the CF)
But the only way England are going to get the fans excited and restore faith is too attack.

He's got the talent, just not the attitude it seems to me.
Every time England play he gets rave reviews, ad I just don't see it. It might be club bias, but for me, he's been hot and cold since the '06 world cup, much like the rest of them, rather than this beacon of light that the press makes out.

Yeah I know what you mean.
When he broke onto the scene at Euro 2004 he looked like a player that could carry the England team but he's lost those attributes that made him a bit of a one man band, so to speak.
Now he's still a quality player but he's far more reliant on the rest of the team than he used to be - and when we underperform, which happens often, so does he.
The days of expecting Rooney to do special things at a tournament died years ago.
That's not to say he cannot contribute, he's just not fulfilled the potential he showed when he first broke through, in my opinion.

I've changed your prediction round a bit to be more accurate for Hodgson, and the England team in general.
