BCD The Countdown begins!

Well it’s almost here one of the most highly anticipated games of this or any other season as Wolves travel to local β€œrivals" Walsall FC looking to avenge the defeat at Molineux.

The Saddler’s push for the playoffs has stumbled recently with no wins in their last six compared to our seven in seven.

The bookies have us as even money favourites while you can get 12/5 on either Walsall or the draw.

This will be the first sell out for Walsall since the last time we went there so there will be plenty of casual Walsall fans that only turn up when we are in town. Lets hope they can contain themselves and there is no repeat of the ugly scenes we saw from our Staffordshire neighbours on Saturday.

Who’s going, how you getting there and will you be having a beer in Walsall before hand or topping up in a civilised town before travelling?

Went to Fellows Park once only - Walsall v Chelsea in a cup game.

Stood on the side terrace with Walsall fans giving it the big one to Chelsea's notorious hooligans for most of the first half. To their surprise, half a dozen or so blokes took their jackets off to reveal Chelsea shirts - they'd been standing amongst them all that time.

Absolute carnage followed. The life just drained out of the Walsall fans in an instant. Some ran on to the pitch to escape and those that weren't unconscious ran across the terrace as if their lives depended on it.

Just minutes earlier they had been so full of bravado.

Pathetic fans. They will be out in packs around the town centre on Saturday, looking to pick off lone Wolves fans. They also deliberately target scarf wearing supporters - knowing full well that they are an easier target - and will boast on forums at their bravery until the next time we meet.

Hate Walsall.

Likely the last time we play them for many a year.

The most entraining thing I ever saw at Fellows Park was Walsall's wingers George Meek and Colin Taylor who used to pass the ball to each other across the park - magic!
Also saw Stanley Mathews play there right at the end of his career. He still frightened the Walsall defenders to death though

Were going for a beer in Brum, mixing with the brummies, the tesco fans (apparently) & the urinals, should be an interesting day all in all

Gem I was there for that Stanley Matthews fame too. I think he was 44 at the time but still looked a tidy player
