Cracking weekend of sport but did miss not seeing the mighty reds play.
This is an important game for Liverpool. We need the points to make sure the top 4 race is still in our hands, and the feel-good factor of beating the old enemy could do wonders to the belief in this squad.
Pace is going to be a key contributor to our game. A front 3 of Sterling, Sturridge and Suarez should cause all sorts of problems to the Utd defence.
Here is my prediction:
--------------------Mignolet--------------
Flanno---- Skrtel---- Agger-------Johnson
Allen---------- Gerrard------------ Henderson
Sterling--------- Sturrdige---------- Suarez
Bench: Jones, Kolo, Cissokho, Alberto, Coutinho, Moses, Aspas
Not sure if if Sakho or Lucas will be ready, but there is time, so I would switch Alberto and Kolo with them.
I think Allen deserves to keep his place and maybe rest Coutinho. He has been off the boil for a while and maybe just needs a break from the starting and 11 and come on as an impact sub. Sterling should start, he has been in fine form and would like to see his pace up against Utd.
Fellow reds, this could be a very difficult game, form has nothing to do with this kind of 'grudge' match.
Utd have a very dangerous attack with RVP and Rooney and our defence will have to be their best to counter them.
Hope everyone had a nice weekend, would like here what you all think.
Line up for Utd

The only debate is who plays from Cout and Sterling. I would still stick with Cout as he is the type of midfielder United's slow and pedestrian midfield struggle against.
Our record at OT is awful. Would love a win but would be happy with a draw.

However, on current form Sterling deserves to start.

Hmm not sure about the diamond if Utd play with a lot of width.
Moyes does like his inverted wingers though.
Formations aside, as long as we score first I think we will be fine.

I can see us being the btter team but they are strong form set pieces and crossing into the box the two things we struggle to defend against.
we need to go out and hammer them for first 20mins in the hope of getting a goal or two, as i think they will score against us but they will find it tough to stop us scoring.
they will be very up for this!

The pressure at OT is palpable and Utd have been poor there all season and I do not expect that to change. They'd played better against Albion once they went two up but this is an entirely different game.
I think we'll get at least a draw and if we score early they'll be in for a long afternoon. I wouldn't normally do that but watching Big Vic and Gera create a good few chances gives me hope.
