Gooner in peace. Can someone tell me why Bentaleb is starting so many games for you? Has he been a revelation in the reserves or something? Given that you have quite a few CM's is it a question of lots of injuries?
He seems OK, but very much a work in progress, adn not what you would want to persevere with at such a crucial point of the season

Serious answer, he is pretty naive as a player but provides a lot of desire that is lacking in our team. Has the legs to run and up and down the pitch all day, provides quick passing that our slow-build up midfield doesn't.
Plus, he can hardly be any worse than Paulinho and Dembele atm... CAN HE!?

Its a strange one. I normally would have imagined Paulinho and Sandro to be a good combination in a 4-4-2.

He plays like a typical no.42. The only problem is that Timmy hasn't fathomed out what that is yet and unfortunalty neither has Bentaleb.

Take Dembele, Bentaleb and Erikson away from the team and the rest have the assurance and technical ability on the ball as my 5yr old school team. Bentaleb might be young and inexperienced but none of the others we have bought are much better in my opinion. Experienced yes but better with the ball at their feet..No..
I certainly havent seen any of our midfielders pulling up trees this season so why not play him..He wears his heart on his sleeve and probably cares more for the club than some others in the team. COYS!!!
