I played my first game of amateur football in about 3 years on Saturday and feck me I forgot how pash it is and why I stopped playing.
Got a text at just after 10 asking if I could help a team out as they were struggling for numbers. Given that I was about to go to the gym I decided to give it a go against my better judgement. Got down to the park for the 10:30 kick off and discovered that I wasn't making the numbers up to 11, I was making it up to 10.
And they decided to pitch me into a 3 man defence on the left in a 351 formation - I'm right footed.
The referee didn't even give me time for a warm up.
Thankfully the other team were pash and it was 0-0 at half time. Then they scored a couple and my team just imploded. We got two men sent off and then another went off injured leaving us with 7 players.
To make it worse, even when we had 10 men the kants on the other team were begging the ref to send players off. Who asks for players to get sent off in amateur football ffs? I then went on a personal mission to give a sore one to one of the kants who was asking. The ref must have sympathised because he didn't even book me.
When we went down to 7 men it was 5-0 with 10 minutes to go. Bizarrely the game finished 5-1.
Anyway, amateur football is pash and I officially announce my retirement.

I've never been sent off in my entire 'career'.
My first ever booking was in u13s and it was for chanting "off, off, off" as a boy from the other team was about to be given a

I was laughing at him rolling about the ground, told him to get up the fat bastirt, then the ref told me to get off the pitch.
To make it worse, my dad was the ref!

I got sent off in a charity game for a pretty dastardly attempt at cheating.
we were 4-0 down and I kept mouthing off to one of the guys that was clearly a cut above the rest, ended up right in his face trying to get him to punch me so he would get sent off.
ref sent me off

I've been sent off twice once for 2 bookings another a straight red because I took a swipe at some guy. Worse thing about getting a red is facing your team after guilt of letting them down is harsh.

I got sent off without even going on the pitch once
Was a sub for the team I was playing with, and the ref was having a stinker. I knew the ref, not very well, but I knew who he was and had some inside info on him.
We were a goal behind midway through teh second half and we had a claim for a stonewall penalty which the ref waved away......incensed at this I shouts "away tae fck you ya unt.......its nae fcking wonder yer wife left ye!"
I was promptly sent to the showers and my teammates had to hold the ref back from lamping me
