Predictions for Oakwell

Another important game for both teams this evening.

Barnsley will be looking to build on their excellent victory over Notts Forest on Saturday with another strong performance against the foxes. Whilst Barnsley sit uncomfortably in the relegation zone their performances have improved since Danny Wilson returned to the club, particularly at home. Wilson has already promised not to be too expansive in their approach and this could lead to a strong rear-guard action as they seek to deny free scoring City.

Leicester will need no reminding of the result at Oakwell last season - a dour 2-0 reverse that was arguably the nadir of the dismal 17 match run-in that saw them drop from 2nd to 8th and only just recover to claim the last play-off spot on the final day of the season.

City will be buoyed by consecutive 3-0 wins over Ipswich and Charlton and will be favourites to extend their unbeaten run that started back in early December. However, this will be a tough fixture and Barnsley will battle for every ball.

My heart yearns for the win that would cement City's position in the top two, but my head says we could be in for a struggle. I'll sit on the fence and go 1 - 1.

Predictions please.

I'm 1-1 also, but it depends on whether we play to full potential or not. Teams in Barnsley's position tend to fight points off teams that don't bring their 'A' games at this point in the season and I fear this may be a game where we are a bit slack.

Like against Charlton I feel we will lose sooner rather than later but I think Barnsley beating Forest may actually do us a favour. I cant see them raising there game twice in the space of 4 days and I dont think we will walk it or it will be pretty but lets go 1-2 to the blue army.

p.s Burnley are away to Brum and home to Leeds this week- the trip to Turf Moor could well prove decisive.

It's never an easy one at Barnsley, however, I'll opt for a narrow City victory.

Barnsley 0 City 1

Head says draw 1 -1

Heart says home win 1 - 0 with a number of attempts on our goal to keep us on the edge of our seat until the final whistle.

My son will go to his first away match on his own

I'd take a point if I'm honest, they haven't lost at home all season and we have a bad recent record there. I wouldn't be disappointed with a draw

^ Hopefully, it will be a case of Nevsboysaysagoal2city this evening. I wish I could have been there.

Charlton.... 4 games in hand 2pts adrift ... Donnie.... 7pts ahead and a better goal difference of 6. Brum like wise with a GD of 22... Blackpool 9pts cushion plus 10 goals better off means Barnsley are going down along with Millwall and Yeovil.......I'll put the next three months mortgage money on it
