So what are our thoughts on the guy? Are we happy we decided not to go in for him? From what I can see tonight he looks like a good inventive player. Shame none of the other spurs fans are on the same wavelength really. Not sure if he would have added anything coutinho doesn't have though really

"If Ozil doesn't look good because he has no runners in front of him, it just proves he was a panic signing who doesn't fit in with your team."
Another of your hare-brained arguments. You talk like Ozil is playing like a disaster like Downing, rather than a player who's created the most chances in Europe's top 5 leagues this season (as of 2 weeks ago) and has a decent 6 goals and 14 assists. How amazing was Silva in his first season in '09/10 when City finished 5th? Or Yaya in the same season? So, it's inconcievable that we could add players to improve our team with Ozil as the attacking foundation? You guys are obviously getting real orgasmic pleasure at your distorted versions of Ozil's failure or flopping at Arsenal and you've lost all sense of reality.

"I provided the stats you asked for, please can you do the same?
again, I'm not wound up. and again: repeatedly saying something does not make it true.
now. provide the evidence for your argument just as I did!"
You've provided fack all. Just cherry picked a convenient stat and made it out as the only factual means of comparing players which is ridiculous. I'll be on my PC in the night to give you all the stats you love. Though you should be able to find them with a simple tool called "Google" as someone told me earlier. And yes, you're wound up. Denying it a million times wouldn't make it less so.

ridiculous, it's like trying.to debate with a child.
you obviously haven't checked the link I provided because it compares more than just one stat, and it's calculating the top playmakers in the league, and philippe compares very very favourably (despite your wrong OPINION that he does not)
I will await your stats.

Would have given us something we don't really have at the moment, 10 plus goals from the midfield area.
What??
He has 6 goals, Gerrard 9.

If you're going to mention the word league, then make sure you're only using "league" stats.
It'll make your point valid, rather than not.

Most of Ozil's goals and assists came in the first half of the season.
He is good for half a season, or half a game, wherever he goes.
I haven't seen anyone saying he is rubbish, he was just overpriced and a badly thought out transfer.

Tbf, his style suits Liverpool's rapid, pacy attacking game considering you have a front 3 that are always on the move making runs but you would be an even better team if you had a midfielder who could set the tempo in the middle and can alternate the pace of the game.
If a player like Fabregas or Ozil played behind that front 3 of yours, you would walk the league.

Clear cut chances stuff?
That's what creative players are measured on!

They're also measured on assists and the chances they create and their ability to dictate the tempo and keep the game flowing. And I pay little attention to old stats gathered over 900 minutes of football from players. You can't draw proper context over a long stretch of games.
Think I'm done here anyway. If you think Coutinho is the best playmaker in the league from those, it's your prerogative. The rest of the world who aren't blinkered Liverpool fans would just have a good chuckle.
