Bob Crow and Tony Benn both snuff it and Townsend doesn't get a game. Terrible...

The original BEAST!

All joking aside, even though I disagreed with his politics Tony Benn was one of the best & most articulate men ever to grace the House of Commons.
Possibly the best leader Labour never had!
Hewas a man of principle who stood by them through thick and thin. R.I.P.

Greavesy, I agree entirely, perhaps my joke is a little tasteless. There aren't many public servants left with his principles and moral standing...

Pretty sure Tony Benn would find it funny as well. I didn't agree with his politics but he was a giant among pygmy's in Westminster. Most principled man in politics for many generations past and present.
He wouldn't want it but if anyone from the world of politics deserved a state funeral it would be him. RIP
