Fair Do's

As someone who expressed a preference for seeing Konchesky back in the side today, I must hold up my hand to acknowledge how very well Schlupp played today. He was in the thick of things quite a lot, never let anyone down either at the back or going forward, and seemed a much more mature and controlled player than when I last saw him play.

But everyone played well, I thought, with Mahrez once again very exciting and impressive. Dyer has a real fight on his hands. My MOTM was either Drinkwater or James, with the former probably shading it, as usual, for his mix of skill, strength and fierce commitment. Whom did Youngy pick?

I thought Blackpool were largely talentless, and perhaps in consequence quite dirty; that said, some of ours were a bit free with the pushes, kicks and trips, too. Vardy was a clown to get booked for no good cause. But the ref himself was hopeless.

The only real irritant is that we our continue to be so bobbins at set pieces, whether they be corners or free kicks. The former mostly go beyond the last man, the latter usually hit the wall or row Z. It's taken a long time for Morgan to head a goal this season, and even then it had to be laid precisely on his forehead, by Mahrez.
