Jermain has begun his Toronto career by scoring twice on debut in a 2-1 win
Always loved Defoe at the Lane and it's great to see he's started well and long may it continue. Wonder if his form continues whether Hodgson will reserve a seat on the plane to Brazil for him!

I've watched a fair bit of MLS, the defenders are awful.. I'd say league one at best.
Defoe was always gonna clean up over there.

No point in having a good start if you have a bad finish as he often did. Good luck to him.

its like a who's who of ex prem players. I see obafemi martins set up clint dempsey.
Good luck to defoe, he always gave 100% for spurs and there was some good moments over the years.

So much ignorance on here. The world doesnt revolve around the Premiere League. I suppose La Liga is rubbish as well what with "rat" and "monkey boy" playing for them.

Juan Pablo Angel and Keane have scored loads in MLS, they've got a lot of work to do to catch up with the established leagues.
Did you see Defoe arriving in Toronto? Two blokes with cameras

The MLS is possibly lower Championship standard at present. I watched LA Galaxy play Real Salt Lake City last Saturday night.
It was a cagey game, being the first of the season and ended with Real winning 1-0. Robbie Keane played but is obviously not as sharp these days as he was.

I'm pleased for Defoe but he certainly shouldn't be in any England squad now. He's forfeited his right dropping into a poorer standard league. I can see him getting loads of goals there.

The Premiere League isn't even English anymore. Should be renamed foreign import league. More than just sayin'
