If

Burnley can do it on a shoestring budget why can't we? (TLF). Answers on a postcard please. MOT

It's funny really, when you actually think about it...If they find it hard to play because of our expectations of them winning....They were expected to lose yesterday...and they did not let us down...We will get promoted, when we get 1-a good owner,2- a good manager and 3- good players, and they are playing and working for Leeds United with pride and passion.Once we get No1 he will find No2,then he finds No3.In other words, when No1 makes sure No2 does not let No3 play like chickens.Especially when No1 has controll of the corn. The chickens then don't eat.

"You could turn it round and say if qpr can't get automatic, then why should we."

That's what I was thinking. Was going to phrase it that Wolves were relegated last season with all their resources, so aren't we doing fantastic to be well clear of the drop zone.

Think you laid the egg there Kev.

Burnley are up there because they have better players and no shìt going on behind the scenes.

All this expectation business is rubbish, the players we have wouldn't get promoted at any club.

We have some decent ones, don't get me wrong, but too many weak links.

I wonder if Burnley would like to swap their Board of Directors for ours!..

I'd say they'd know how to use the revenue generated by this club!..

Provided that hole ain't as big as some lead to believe!.

the style of football, they don't just go route one. Dyche has made a team that passes the ball from back to front and dominates games. Every team in the top six is the same, they all pass the ball. I don't know why Mcdermott cannot realise this

I think its a really simple answer Burnley fans do not have the same high expectations as we do so there is less stress on the board manager and squad plus all teams like to beat us its there cup final.
This is why a lot of players joining our club get stage fright Stewart Kebbie are just 2 recent examples

don't know where this high expectation theory comes from. Outside the club few consider leeds serious promotion contenders before a season starts. A belief we may sneak the playoffs as brian has done it before and in mccormack they have a fantastic striker, etc. Even internally, promotion is seen as more of a long term goal/dream, e.g. I signed for leeds as it would be great to lead them into the prem. Things are played down at the start of the season, then as top 6 looks increasingly unlikely, the management/players have to try and convince fans they're not giving up and top 6 is still an opportunity if they put a run together.

Majority of fans are realistic, go to game and get behind the players. Yes they want better, but don't see how that affects the current bunch.

Although there is no expectation to get promoted, there is definitely expectation to win every week, which sounds absurd.

Most fans when asked predict a home win, this maybe the expectation causing us to play carp at home

We can do it.

Comes down to bad management from the board and/or managers over the last 10 years.

We have signed too many past it players and loan players, only ever looking to the short term fix it seems.

This has held us back and prevented us from doing the possible and that is getting promoted without breaking the bank.

There have been too many players coming in and out of the club. Not many seem to play for us for more than 2 years now. Just means every season we are starting again and trying to gel a new team.
