Daniel Ricciardo has been disqualified from the Australian Grand Prix after it was confirmed that his Red Bull did not conform with the fuel consumption rules.
There is a rule in place that states that cars must not exceed a rate of 100kg/hour throughout and apparently Red Bull consistently exceeded that limit.
Red Bull will appeal.
Ricciardo Disqualified!!!!

“Red Bull will appeal.”
They have appealed and the hearing will be held on April 14. That is after the Malaysian and Bahrain GPs
All measurement systems are subject to error and tolerance rates. Gill Sensors published that the FIA mandated sensor tolerance is within 0.25%
The FIA made it clear to all teams that they would use the sensor data as being the definitive fuel flow. All of the teams, except Red Bull, adjusted their fuel flow to comply with the ruling.
During the race Red Bull were advised on several occasions that they were breaching the rules and in effect stuck two fingers up to them. Red Bull declared that their measurements are indisputable.
So Red Bull can decide that the weight of their car complies with the rules. They can also decide that they are on pole because their lap time measurement systems say so.
