Having watched us destroy an abject United team yesterday, I couldn't help reflect on the stark difference in mentality between the two teams. We are a team bursting with creativity and confidence that winning breeds but with the mental toughness to bounce back on the back of two festive defeats and when we have been close to losing or drawing.
Rodgers has been instrumental in this turnaround but a man probably equally important is Dr Steve Peters. The man acquired by England for the World Cup has had a role at Liverpool now for around a year and was designated the job in turning Suarez around following his mishaps. The evidence is clear that Suarez is a more controlled man on the pitch these days, while maintaining his will to win and ruthless competitiveness.
Equally so, Gerrard and Henderson have recently praised Peters for the work that he has done with them. Gerrard looks as relaxed as he ever has and Henderson has been a revelation.
Based on the work he did with the all conquering British Cycling team, this Liverpool team bear the hallmarks of a group of players trained by Peters individually and collectively to think like winners.
Gerrard recently said that Peters can't make a player better at free kicks or more tactically astute, that has been Rodgers and the coaching staffs role. But he can help the players understand their own fears and mental blocks, and then train them to feed off them and deal with them.
In top level sport it comes down to small margins. We saw the dynasty built at British Cycling with the right management and support staff. With that in place at Liverpool, the future is looking very bright indeed!
Dr Steve Peters

He pushed him when he was going nowhere, it's not like he was going to run away from him the fat

The fouls are just the exuberance of youth.
Would rather a guy who gives away a few free-kicks than one who bottles it.

Flanagan is doing a good job but we certainly don't want him continue to play at his current level, he needs to keep improving.

He's committed and never shîts out of a tackle and I like him in the team but he needs to be a bit wiser!

I asked the stattos on twitter what his tackle success percentage was and they told me that the tackles is only registered when he disposses the opponent. Which i found weird cause i saw him foul lot and thought he was a red card waiting to happen.
Great performance from him though and this article

yeah he made a couple of rash challenges within a few minutes of getting the yellow, but was okay for the rest
