Anyone else thinking we're starting to see what Chadli is capable of? I thought yesterday was his best game in a Spurs shirt, and he also scored that great goal not so long ago at Newcastle.
Yeah there were a few areas he could've done better yesterday, notably the chance on goal where he really should've scored or made a chance for Ade, but I thought he was full of running, strength, and pretty creative.
I'd be happy to see him get more time in behind the striker.
Chadli - actually quite good

anyway Hengy, for some reason you seem to think the sun shines out of Holtby's backside, when lets face it, when in a spurs shirt he showed virtually nothing other than running about like a madman.
he isn't even a certain started for Fulham FFS!

He's started 6 of the 7 prem games
I know I'd rather him start over paulinho chadli that's for sure

In terms of style, I see holtby as more of a Henderson-type player in terms of the energy, effort, work ethic etc which isn't exactly a bad thing if I'm being honest. Also a decent passer of the ball. Or maybe a deep-lying playmaker because of his passing.
However he's got no business being anywhere near the number 10 role.

holtby is as much of a number 10 as danny rose is. utterly useless in that role. i actually quite like the kid, but from what he has shown us in a spurs shirt so far, he isn't a very good player….
hopefully that will change.

You could say the same as chadli though... He's as you put it also utterly useless behind the striker as he is on the wing.
Yet you defend him... Astonishing.
Before you say something about me loving holtby, I know there's plenty better players around the world but there aren't at tottenham that's for sure

Chadli is good.
but yet again spurs supporters are on a guys back without giving him a chance.
Have had to stand up for him so many times on here.
we paid 7 mill for him. he was a good signing for that price.
people expect him to be a ready made bale replacement for 7mill
some spurs fans need to get real.

chadli is one of about 3 players at the club with the technical ability to actually play in a decent ball.
he is strong and technically sound. decent reading of the game and I quite like him.
he is a massive scapegoat at spurs.

He's clearly not useless though Hengy.

If you read I put
"He's as you put it"
Because that's what chronic said about Holtby
Personally my thoughts on chadli are wasn't playing very good early on then got injured come back looked pretty good then dropped out of side and when got a chance barely done anything before today.
Wouldn't play him behind the striker though

Fair play, I was making mischief
That's a pretty fair summary, imo - as I said earlier in the thread - we should play him wide with Eriksen in the middle.
