It seems like the spurs scouting team has been hard at work again, following on from where we left off:

Oh well, every other player we have been linked with that either they or chelsea took havent done too well, so not too disappointed (I didnt want him in January either, if people recall)
Sours scouting team working hard

If Kono has any ambition whatsoever he will choose us over them if he gets the oppurtunity.

Kono would be good back up for sterling.

Thing is though, there's Ibe as well, so Kono would probably be third choice.

The rioting streets of tottenham would be a home from home for kono.
Help him settle in quicker.

First of all I'm not convinced by the story. Given the source being caughtoffisde.com
Second of all if Spurs want to maintain their transfer policy of buying players from under the noses of teams they percieve to be rivals than I'm all for it given the success of their transfers last summer. Rather than buying players best suited to their system, tactics and squad they embarked on a transfer policy only usually employed by Chelsea and Man City, ie buying a player so a rival cannot. We've seen how well that has 'worked' for them. Kezman, Milner, Dzeko, Moses, Zhirkov, Sinclair and latterly Salah to name but a few. Its backfired hughely as they dont have bottemless pockets or a strong enough first 11 to take the hit.
i also believe they need to sell before they can buy, but who can they sell that will raise any real cash?

I presume that comment was in jest? Ibe is not at the level of Konoplyanka (certainly at the moment), and I presume Rogers thinks so too, otherwise why would he have tried to buy him in the first place?

I'd very much like Konoplyanka and have done for a whileland games against Ukraine).
He is very fast and can play on the left. This would be a very good addition in our system to my mind.
Can't see him going to Spurs and they'll have a new manager come the summer anyway.

As I said before Konoplyanka has only a right foot in footballing parlance and as such, I don't think we should buy him (Liverpool).
