With the world T20 round the corner along with the inevitable depression of being an England fan in a limited overs tournament to come for a little bit of fun how about we try and pick an England T20 team to beat the team currently in Bangladesh. Retirements/ECB "culture" don't matter all that matters is that players are eligible to play. Mine's below:
Michael Carberry
Kevin Pietersen
James Taylor
Samit Patel
Rikki Clarke
Owais Shah
Craig Kieswetter
Chris Woakes
Stuart Meaker
Ollie Raynor
Jimmy Anderson
My knowledge of the county game is limited mainly to Warwickshire so it's probably not the most well informed 11. Also desperately wanted to add Trescothick purely nostalgically and Azhar Mahmood, just because he's allowed to now. What are your XI's?
An England team to beat the England team

Who was that all rounder from Northants who won them the T20 cup last year?

David Willey was it? He scored a 50 and took 4 wickets in the final.

Yeah David Willey. How the hell does he get ignored?
I'd also have Azeem Rafiq over Raynor

I didn't really consider him because as amazing as he was in that match I didn't know of having done much else of note. Cricinfo would say that match was the only time he's ever scored a 50 or taken 4 wickets in a t20 in 60 matches and I know stats don't tell the full story but it would suggest in that format he's only had 1 good match.
Don't know too much about Rafiq, tbh the spinner position in general stumped me, couldn't really think of anybody who I'd be confident of holding up an end or taking wickets.
